- After the first 3 days: Continue wearing the compression garment for 12 hours per day for at least 1 to 3 months, depending on your doctor’s advice.
Important:
- Do not remove the compression garment by yourself on the first day after liposuction, as dizziness or fainting may occur.
- Avoid taking a bath on the first day to prevent complications and support wound healing.
Treatment Instructions

Postoperative Wound Care Instructions
- The day after liposuction, please return to the clinic for a wound dressing appointment. Our nurse will demonstrate how to properly care for your wounds so you can continue wound care by yourself at home.
- Wound care:
Clean your wounds every other day. About 7 days after surgery, please return to the clinic for stitch removal. - For patients undergoing six-pack or sexy line liposuction:
It is important to wear a special foam pad to help compress the treated area, define the muscle lines, and minimize swelling and bruising. - After your stitches are removed, our nurse will teach you how to manually massage the treated areas to help prevent seroma (fluid buildup).
- Starting two weeks after surgery, you may begin using a massage machine at Rattinan Clinic to further assist with recovery and body contouring.
Postoperative Dietary Guidelines
- On the day of surgery:
Drink at least 1–2 liters of water after returning home to stay well-hydrated. - For the first 7 days after surgery:
Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking to support healing. - Until your stitches are removed:
Avoid fermented foods and raw or undercooked foods to reduce the risk of infection.
Focus on eating high-protein foods to promote faster recovery and tissue healing. - For at least 2 weeks:
Reduce intake of starchy foods and salty foods that are high in sodium to help minimize swelling.
